Govindaram Posted June 30, 2003 Report Share Posted June 30, 2003 Hare Krishna When I am chanting my rounds of the Maha-Mantra, my mind wanders a lot, which is normal, sometimes my mind is more 'still' and at other times it flys all over the place.. What bothers me most is, sometimes I think the most impure thoughts while chanting, which make me angry, and I feel like giving up & just walking away, but I never do, I feel Lord Krishna must be really angry with me for chanting His name and at the same time, having these impure thoughts, it doesnt happen all the time, but when it does it really pea's me off, what's to be done about it? ps im getting to the point where i want to decrease my round to 4 instead of 16, i know it sounds stupid but /images/graemlins/confused.gif Im sure a lot of people have this problem and not just me. If krishna is everything, then why worry about impure thoughts and pure thoughts. Pure is impure, and impure is pure, so then the pure and impure is nothing but a conditioned notion. Stool is impure, but then again it is the most purest thing for a pig. So, the point is, pure and impure are just notions which are entertained in the mind due to the bodies that we wear... nothing more than that.
