What is the significance of this festival? (A very tough question)

I believe this is going to be a tough question to answer.

On the Vaishnava Calendar, on April 13 of this year, there is a festival called Damanaka-ropana dvadasi. What is the significance of this festival, why is it on the Vaishnava Calendar? I have been unable to find any information on it, so any and all comments would be greatly appreciated.

I contacted a friend that lives in one of the temples and the only info I got was that it is a tree that produces very fragrant flowers that can be used for garlands.

I would like to find out more about this tree and why there is a day set aside for it's planting.

I have a couple of other sources to contact that may have more info....
