theist 1 Report post Posted September 14, 2002 Just saw this news story on the latest fad for the pet lover who can't bear the loss when their pet dies. They are having them freeze dried.The dog or cat comes out looking the same afterwards except of course it is very stiff.The taxidermist freeze dries the corpse,pretties it up and then mounts it on a board.Some are posed as though they are sleeping in their little beds. A ten pound corpse cost $1,000.$150 a pound after that. This one woman keeps her dead dried cat by the sofa and puts it on her lap from time time to pet it.She says she can hear it purring in her heart.Funny, weird and very sad as well. Seems we will do anything but love Krsna. Oh, yeah.They are planning on doing human corpses next.Can you imagine going to your friends house after his wife has passed away and her corpse is stiil dressed and sitting on the sofa?
