You've got to recite this one in Sanskrit to catch the crunching sound of Nrisingha's nails. Don't forget c's are ch's and ch's are aspirated chha. Try to get those palatal T's and D's (which have a harder sound than the dental t and d.)

May the fire rising from the sawlike claws

of Lord Hari, the man-lion,

as they tear at the demon prince's breast,

scratch at his skin,

splash in his flying blood,

rip at his flesh,

and grind his bones

always protect you.

"What on earth is it?"

"A lion!"

"But what else is it?"

"Its body is like a man's!"

"Strange! Have you caught it?"

"Nay, sire."

"Ho! Who's there?"

"Long live your majesty."

"Bring it before me quickly!"

"Sire it is already here."

"My bow, my bow! No bring me my sword, and haste!

Ah but its claws are sharp!"

May he who with his razor claws

thus killed the demon king protect you.

May the cruel claws of Hari, the demon slayer,

whose tongue traverses the cavern of his mouth,

thick set with teeth,

whose heavy mane is bright with the flames of fire,

always protect you

as they grind the ribs laid bare

after he ripped out the belly

of the writhing giant, Hiranyakashipu.

Victory to the claws of Hari as man-lion

which tore apart the demon's breast,

in mindfulness of which, the demons fear

even their mistress' fingernails when making love.
