When Hiranyakasipu was about to

slay Prahlada Maharaja with his

sword, in that instant, Nrsimha,

appeared before Hiranyakasipu,

and took all the latter`s guts

with the Former`s sharp nails.

Hiranyakasipu was considered the

king of the demons, whose son,

Prahlada Maharaja, was under the

demons care. They taught Prahlad

all they knew about demonship

but Prahlad refused to learn it

because he was a devotee of the

Lord. Prahlad took instructions

from Srila Narada himself, and

never did Prahlad obeyed the in-

structions of his demonic-father,

Hiranyakasipu. Because the latter

couldn`t anymore take Prahlada`s

disobedience, Hiranyakasipu de-

cided to kill Prahlad using his

sword.

Hiranyakasipu believed nobody

could slay him,no matter what

kind of weapon used against him

after he obtained some favor from

Lord Nataraja. Thus, he became so

powerful that other demons as po-

werful as him became his allies

whom in turn elected Hiranyaka-

sipu as their leader and king.

Hiranyakasipu however was killed

by Nrsimha`s sharp nails, the ul-

timate weapon to which the demon

king could be killed. It there-

fore sent Hiranyakasipu to his

early grave when he attempted to

kill Prahlada Maharaja, the dear-

most devotee of Lord Krishna-Nr-

simha.

Anyone who hears this narration

is assured of going home, back to

Godhead.

Haribol! All glories to Lord Sri

Krishna Chaitanya`s sankirtana

movement!
