my question was n is tht why all hindus r not following the same practices. if we r hindu than we r hindu... why there is differences in practices. dont u think we should be procticing just one this which the hindu belief tell us to do. if not tht means tht the practices r human made n we should not follow human made practices.

Because Hinduism, right from the beginning in the Rig Veda declared there are many paths to God. Also we have more than one sage (which is equivalent to a prophet) that are born at different times and will continue to come. This is how we differ from other religions - that base their teachings on one or two prophets. But this doesn't mean that all the paths that claim to be Hindu today are genuine. There are false gurus out there who fool people with paths that lead to nowhere positive.

In Hinduism the differences in practices are because people are different and at different stages of spritual development. We shouldn't be practicing just one way, Hinduism was meant to be diverse right from the beginning. Hinduism has been growing throughout the ages as more sages have been born. However there are Hindu sects that aim to go back to the source of the Vedas and give lesser improtance to later scriptures such as the Puranas such as the Sri Aurobindo Ashram and the Arya Samaj.

dont u think we hav catagorise our self by different gods n we r fighting on it, but why? do our hindu religion tell us to do tht. why there is differences in god? why shiva is greater or why visnu is greater or the other or other... but why. if they all r god than they should be equal....

These are differences made by man, usually the leader of their movement so the followers simply follow. The puranas have alot of these 'which god is greater' argument, but not all Hindus give importance to the puranas.

At this point u made me ask u tht do u think the religion is made by man(or holy man) cus u answered me that if there is disagreement with holy man than there will be a new religion. if so than we r just following humans not any God. or we can say than there is no God. or if u r saying tht holy men thaught their path to God. than doesnt ur answer say u tht there is just one God.

For example a 'holy man' may have relisation of God as Vishnu and he will teach his followers to do the same. He may not believe a man who has a vision of God as Shiva. Therefore there will be a disagreement on God between the followers of these two traditions. But they are only teaching their followers the spiritual truths they have experienced, they have no right to say the other man is wrong because they haven't experienced God in the same way.

Hindu religion is based on spiritual laws discovered by different sages as different times. Ultimately these spiritual laws are from God, but the way they are interpreted and followed are by men.
