Guest guest
HARI OM. HARI OM GOMATHA INTERNATIONAL CHARITABLE SOCIETY GOMATHA INTERNATIONAL CHARITABLE SOCIETY&GODAN MOVEMENT A CONSIOUSNESS BASED, GOVARDHAN- VILLAGE LEVEL POVERTY ALLEVIATION PROJECT INTENDED TO ACHIEVE THE DREAM GOAL OF GOVADHANIRODHAN MOST NATURALLY AND SIMULTANIOUSLY TO LEND ECONOMIC SUPPORT TO VILLAGE BHAKTAGEN, ESPECIALLY WOMEN, BY CREATING A SELF- EVER EXPANDING CHAIN OF GOMATHAS, invoking blessing of lord Gopalakrishna and Kamadhenu. A unique Hariseva programe for 1. Bringing in, a common practice of Rearing of cows as Gomathas with love and gratitude, treating them as gift and property of god Gopala Krishna, invoking blessings of Kamadhenu. 2. Bettering lives / bringing down poverty amoung villagers, especially women, by resorting to economic activity of milk production and multiplication of livestock, making them links of a chain of action and by providing them with a Gomatha (cow) free of cost at their doors under a very unique scheme on sponsorship (GODAN MOVEMENT) 3. Achieving of the dream goal of stoppage of killing of cows. 4. Fostering bhakti in the hearts of men and women towards Lord Gopalakrishna and invoking lord’s grace and blessings by becoming links of a chain of a “Goparipalan karma” 5. Conducting Educational/Training programs on scientific cow rearing 6. Establishing number of identical organisations as independent branches of the international society 7. Manufacture and distribution of special feeds for gomathas and other projects like establishment of veterinary colleges and other Paraveterinary educational institutions including pharmaceuticals NEED TO HAVE A “GOMATHA INTERNATIONAL CHARITABLE SOCIETY” AND GODAN MOVEMENT Cow had always been very special to us. A mother gives milk only for the infant, cow’s milk is for all at all times. This is why we are advised to treat her as one among the pancha mathas (five mothers) worthy of daily worship and on par with ones own mother as “GOMATHA” (Mother Cow). Gomatha brings in many good things of benefit to humans and to the whole world. Milk is a complete and pure food containing all nutrition necessary for human life and is fit for consumption of all including the aged, children and the sick and so, is called “Amrit” Cow’s milk is not like other food derived from animals, it promotes Sathvic qualities in men, gives power of clear thinking and makes him unbiased, unruffled, calm, quiet and at the same time vigilant and conscious. Cow’s milk is permitted by Vedas even for sanyasins. It is god’s grace that cows produce milk, in quantities more than enough to feed its calf and make it available to humans. Gomatha, In its divine form, it becomes “Kamadhenu” (Celestial Cow) which is provider of everything wished. Cow dung is not like excreta of other animals, It cleans dirt and is a disinfectant .We use cow dung for cleaning floors of the house. The water mixed with it is sprayed in the front of houses and base is prepared for for rangoli (kolam) drawn inviting Goddess Lakshmi to the house. Modern scientists say that fumes emanating on burning of the cow dung is a powerful disinfectant and anti-pollutant. In Bhopal gas tragedy, the only house, which escaped, is the one, which was surrounded by smoke from Agnihothram. The credit goes to the smoke produced by cow dung along with other inputs used in the Agnihothram and equally to the mantras recited at that time. The dung is given a special place in all yagnas, as it adds to yagnas’ sanctity and power. ‘Panchagavyam’; is a combination of milk, curd, ghee, ‘gomayam’ and ‘gomuthra’. ‘Gomayam’ is cow dung and ‘gomuthra’ is cow’s urine. In all ‘Punyahavachana’ karmas, this is given as ‘prasada’ to be taken by mouth.Effects of All our past bad karmas are said to be extinguished by this ‘panchagavyam’. A ‘punyahavachana’ mantra says: ‘Just as fire reduces a log of wood in to ashes, let this panchagavyam wipe off all sins and bad things spread and twined deep into my body from skin to bones.’ Cow’s milk, curd and ghee are known for their medicinal value In Ayurvedic system of medicine. In a wide verighty of ayurvedic cures, these products are unavoidable ingredients which can not be substituted. Cow dung is used to prepare ‘Vibhoothi’, the sacred ashes worn on the forehead and body by us. These ashes are prepared from the ‘Gomayam’ by a special process. There is nothing more sacred than ‘vibhoothi’. External purity is achieved by two means: one by taking a bath in water and another wearing sacred ashes on our body. ‘vibhoothi’ is used for ‘abhishekam’ in temples. Even dust, falling from the cow’s hoof is treated as sacred. Covering ones body with such dust is stated to be superior to taking a bath in ganga waters. Lord Krishna revelled in and enjoyed when his body was covered with such dust. The twilight, when the herds of cows create their cloud of dust, is considered as a propitious Lagna (auspicious time) to start good things. In Yagnas, The main ingredient given as ‘Ahuthi’ is Ghee. The next one called ‘Havis’, is milk. In ‘Agnihothram’ curd and ‘goksheeram’ are offered. The cow dung paste is one of the main inputs for invoking Agni in homas and yagnas. ‘Gorakshanam’ or protection of cows is no doubt, protection of earth our environmentalists are now fast realizing this fact. cow is given the first place in Vedas even before a Brahmin. The cow shed is considered as the best place for doing japa as it gives immense strength to and benefit from the mantras. All the Thirty-three crores of ‘Devas" and all sacred waters are said to be within the cow and the cow then is a temple by itself. Among the sacred places where Goddess ‘Lakshmi’ resides is the backside of the cow seeing the backside of a cow on the start of a journey is believed to bring in success and fulfillment of the purpose of the journey. “Gohathya” or slaughtering cows should not even be dreamt of. Even A small injury caused to a cow is a sin; Killing is as worse a sin as killing one’s own mother. Sending it to a butcher’s shop after the cow seizes to yield milk is very ungrateful and like killing a mother who has become old and invalid. Anyone who allows killing of a cow, who cuts a cow, who kills, who sells the meet, who buys the meat, who prepares the meet all are “khathakas” or murderers in hindu dharma. One can use the skin after its natural death, but killing it for getting the skin out of it will never be pardoned by God. We should give enough food to a cow. In all other countries, which do not have the same values as we have, cows are maintained in the best of health condition, whereas we give the minimum food for their sustenance and our cows look bonny and sickly. It no doubt is important and it would be welcome if the Government is compelled to enact legislation preventing cow slaughter to fulfill one of the dreams of Mahatma Gandhi, father of our nation. We should undertake propaganda against such killing, observing ahimsa and should not wait any further to do things on our own to achieve our goal of stoppage of killing of cows. There is no greater gift than giving away a cow to a deserving man who will protect it well. It is unfortunate that Godan that was part of life of our fore fathers, has actually become a thing of the past in its real perspective. We have gone far from the “Gomatha sankalp” we must have new scheme to revive the glory. We know that Cow protection will bring prosperity to Nations .It will clean the environment, foster love and bhakti in the hearts of men and women, reduce effects of mental pollution, purify the atmosphere, sins will reduce and peace will prevail. So let us have a new scheme. A self supporting ever expanding one. ABOUT THE SCHEME The scheme envisages a new concept of creation of a self expanding chain program of Hariseva through Goseva with wide participation of cows (Gomathas) and bhaktagen. Cows, renamed and titled as Gomathas (Nandini Gomatha and the like) will be well looked after with love and gratitude towards them and with bhakti towards Lord Gopalakrishna. It also envisages a program to stop killing of cows, to continue looking after them till natural death and on death, to give a decent burial or cremation. A member (caretaker member) who gets a sponsored cow free of cost can definitely be expected to create a reserve fund generated from sale of milk or even cow dung of the Gomatha or any other by-product, for looking after her when she becomes old and dry till her natural death. Cows for distribution under the scheme as Gomaths will come from member sponsor. Existing temple gosalas and other farm houses or even farmers having cows also will be induced to be part of the scheme by registering as much cows as possible with the society. At least two female calves of each Gomatha will join the scheme and become Gomathas when they grow up and get registered under the scheme. Sponsoring can be in kind or by financing. Let the oneness come with blessings. “GODAN MOVEMENT” The society will launch a very big and wide “Godan Movement” to restore godan in its right perspective, taking notice of the fact that godan contemplated in scriptures is not at all in practice these days . The punya karma of godan deserves a suitable revival. WE SHALL REMEMBER ACHARYA VINOBA BAVE AND MAHATHMA GANDHI AND INDUCE VERY WIDE PARTICIPATION FROM ALL CORNERS. BY GIVING A COW TO THE SCHEME, THE DONOR MEMBER WILL BE NATURALLY PERFORMING A REAL “GODAN” , PROVIDING LIVELYHOOD / SUPPORTING A POOR FAMILY AND ALSO SAVING COWS FROM BEING SLAUGHTERED FOR FLESH , BLESSINGS OF LORD GOPALAKRISHNA WILL BE THE NATURAL RESULT. IT WILL BE A WELCOME STEP TOWARDS RURAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. Any money and material donated will in no circumstance be diverted or used even temporarily for any other purpose other than purchase of cow/ calf .Purchase of cow and entrustment to the caretaker will be done in shortest time not exeeding a fortnight. The donor who autmatically becomes member will be given full information in writing about the purchase and entrustmrnt at the time of entrustment ceremoney itself. The chain of action starts by distribution of sponsored cow to the eligible, selected from poor village house wives, women’s organizations, bhaktas ,bhaktasangams, ashrams, for rearing / caretaking of Gomathas. Gomathas, in turn, will take care of the caretaker and family in the most natural way by bringing in economical support and gods grace. Person coming forward with willingness to act as a caretaker of a Gomatha receives the cow free of cost on sponsor ship from the society, after due registration under the scheme and after a simple dedication ritual/ ceremony invoking blessings of Kamadhenu. Such entrustment can take place where the cow is available for distribution on sponsorship. The caretaker will rear the cow with a sankalpa that she is a property of Lord Gopalakrishna. She will be well looked after in clean and serene surroundings, well fed and inseminated in time, allowed to enjoy Harinama and bhajans, notes on flute and if possible Vedic chants. The caretaker will be free to sell the milk, other milk products and by products produced and utilise the proceeds for a living or for use in the family. However it will be good and advisable that at least a small portion of the milk and milk products is given every day to a local Krishna or any other temple for abhisheka or as other offering. It is also necessary to make and keep a compulsory reserve, from the income generated, for the purpose of maintenance of the Gomatha cow when she becomes old and dry till her natural death. A Gomatha should not be sent away or sold even at her old age to avoid killing for flesh. The caretaker should look after her and ensure natural death. This is mokshadayaka karma. When the Gomatha gives birth to the second calf, the first one (Female) will be made available to the society for distribution free of cost. Second (female) calf also will be made available to the society, free of cost, similarly, for distribution to other eligible so that the chain gets longer and longer throughout the country especially in villages. The caretaker can retain subsequent calves and all male calves. Birth of each female calf shall be registered with the society at the instance of the caretaker. Female calves retained by the caretaker shall also be reared as Gomathas under the scheme and got duly registered. Gomatha’s milk and milk products reaching the markets will have to be treated and received, as very special products of “Amrit” quality.this will happen naturally. A suitable, computerized register containing the names and all other relevant details of the members, Gomathas and caretakers will be maintained by the society, which will be a charitable society. Membership of the society shall consist of Gomathas, sponsor, caretakers of gomathas, rakshadhikaris (one each for each village) of the scheme and well wiser bhakthagen patrons. Finance for the running of the society will come out of sponsorships and donations. Management and running of the society/ branch shall be by an honorary secretary/president with voluntary help of his choice. Such president/ secretary shall be selected each year and will have all powers to do all thigs necessary for smooth functioning of the organisation and his actions shall not be questionable. Only persons of unquestionable character and social standing shall be selected for the position. They can be replaced by the members any time. A gomatha will be entrusted to the caretaker member by the society only after administering an oath in a temple and after taking a written undertaking to the effect that the Gomatha will be reared strictly honoring the simple terms of entrustment. The society will repossess the gomatha in the event of violation of any condition in the opinion of the concerned rakshadhikari. All office bearers of the society will assume charge of their duties only after attending a suitable special pooja invoking God’s blessings for the smooth functioning of the society. On natural death of each Gomatha, the body must be given a decent burial/cremation with a sankalpa that its soul returns to the lords abode after performing its part in this world. Cremation or funeral expenses will come out of sale proceeds of cow dung and the caretaker will do this. Cow dung can itself be dried in to cakes and used for cremation. The society will be informed. Membership pattern of the society including branches can be 1. Kamadhenu (Devatha member) 2. Gomatha members (All gomathas) 3. Patrons 4. Donor members 5. Care taker members (care takers of each of the gomathas) 6. Rakshadhikaris (Persons nominated for ensuring that gomathas are reared strictly in confirmity with the terms of entrustment) 7.such other members nominated by other above said members. The society will be charitable. Non profit making, non political, THIS IS FOR Adoption and implementation allover without or with necessary changes.
