Guest guest
as told by my grandfather the story goes after the world was created the saints all gottogether and were looking for a god to be worshipped in devalok they found Indra as Devalok Devataa. for the bhoolok the approached Bhramah. as he was already the creator of the world he refused to accept as the god of the world. teh sages were angry and cursed his that no one will worship him on this earth. Saraswati his consort cried at this curse and wherever her tears fell on Earth Ponds were created and Bhramah is worshipped at these places. PUSHKAR in Rajastha, One place is in South near Sri Rangam and the third is in Maharshtra. Next the sages approached Shiva who was so busy making love to parvati that he ignored the request of saints. so the sages also cursed shiva not to be worshipped on earth. But Parvati was enraged, but as she could not remove the curse she blessed shiva be Worshipped by all young girls and women to have a husband who will delinquish all the worldly joys but keep his wife happy. hence he is worshipped in LINGA(Male Organ embedded in a female organ) form Vishnu before the sages reached him foresaw the reasons gladly welcomed the saints accepted to be god of the bhoolok ignoring his consort
Guest guest
These saints only knew to curse or to prostrate. Well, some of them didn't even have the decency to knock, before entering. People like you understand the concept of curse and fate in this life and assume that you know the whole of hindusim and it's uniqueness. Enjoy your life now. Who knows after your life, people are going to say that you were born as a curse to your parents, and that your fate was clear. Ha ha. How do you like this version of curse and fate. Guest guest
So the sage is powerful than trinity gods, what a ridiculous concept,i do know this story but it degrades the trinity of gods.I dont think Vishnu is powerful as depicted just because he is popular in Bhoolok,he doesnt bless the devotees as much as Shiva does,Shiva is the giver god,all Vishnu does is kill demons and save devotees,so what if there r no demons, the blessings and givings come from Shiva and creation by Brahma,Vishnu can never do these 2.He is just like a COP,but that alone isnt enough. Guest guest
Vishnu can never do these 2.He is just like a COP,but that alone isnt enough. It is Lord Visnu who does creation, destruction, and all other activities. Taittiriya Aranyaka makes it clear that once Indra beheaded Shiva. BrahmA gives birth to Shiva as in Shatapataha Brahmana. BrahmA is born from Lord Visnu. Ambrani Sukta tells of BrahmA, Rudra etc. getting positions as per the desire of Lakshmi Devi. Purusha SuktA identifies Lord Visnu as Lakshmi pati Rig Veda 7:40:5 says Rudra Deva gains his powers by worshipping Lord Visnu. One of the Brahmanas say Agnir avamo Visnu Paramas. This should be more than enough to prove that Lord Visnu is the one who really does all activities like creation destruction etc.
Guest guest
Indra beheading Lord Shiva, what are you talking about dude?Indra loses even to the demons who get boon from Shiva, then how can he behead Lord Shiva? Even Ravanas son Indrajit has captured Indra alive,Indra is lot inferior to Lord Shiva,he might be Lord of Planets and Lord of Heaven but nowhere in any purana is he considered superior to Lord Shiva?Any one quoting something on this folks?
