I am here and I wonder why?

I love Krishna; I know he is the one who has created everything in this world. Both the good and bad actually emanated from him only. Whenever I asked why I am here to suffer in this world, the most immediate answer I get is that its because of my past life deeds. But my question is that there could have been the first life indeed, (with the first material body) and again according to the scriptures this first life had been got because of desire to live independently of the lord, and lo the lord gave a chance and I got my body to enter the material world. But, the supreme all pervading lord Vishnu has been defined as the one who is all merciful and his mercy is invaluable, now being known exactly that this material word is nothing but only misery, happiness over here is also just a mirage in the desert, I tend to ask a question to myself or perhaps to my loving lord Krishna, if he ever knew what was the best for me, why did he send me down here? I am quite sure he is all knowing and he knew the future perfectly, so why did he even after knowing that this world is not good for me sent me down here. Although I must have expressed my desire to live independently of him, but yet he knew that’s not good for me, perhaps he could have stopped me, or perhaps not!!!!!!!!!!

what do ya all think?

The nature of the jiva is to love either the world or Krishna. We chose the world and hence the sorrow. Even if Krishna knows we're making the wrong choice, he doesn't interfere because that be similar to someone putting a gun to your head and forcing you to love him.

In love, there is freedom to choose. NO compulsion. If Krishna forces you to love Him, that isn't love. That's why he had to let us go. It is your choice to love whatsoever you want, and Krishna gives you that freedom. If you want to love petty little things like success, money etc., Krishna doesn't stop you and command you to love Him. That cannot be love. That's dictatorship. Krishna is not Saddam. On the other hand, if you choose to love Him, He will free you from this material bondage. No doubt about that. But it has to be a sincere surrender.

Thats a good answer, but lol, when we were already loving the lord, what made us to love this petty material world. quite confusing! cudnt we see all devouring janma, mruthyu jara and vyaadhi, when we were with the lord sure we did i guess have seen all this happeign in the material world and yet we chose to come, ?????? quite confusing !!!what do ya think?

that we chose this world of pain over Krishna, the ever-blissful. But think about it and you'll see why. Pain or no pain, we all want to possess things. But to be a possessor is possible only in the world of matter, jada-prakriti.

After all, you (the jiva) can only possess that which is inferior to yourself, namely jada. In loving Krishna, you'll have to cease to be a possessor and become willing to be possessed by the Infinite. Because it is impossible to possess the infinite...

So our choice goes like this: either we can become possessors and suffer in this world, or become 'possessed' and enjoy Krishna. We choose the former, because our desire to be the master outweighs our love for Krishna.

Well, agreed! Krishna knows exactly whats good for us! probably thats the right love (like the father knows exactly what the son wants , although son sometims becomes adamant over something, the father consoles him showing the right direction), well everything out here is just a perverated image of things in Vaikunta so is the relation of son and father.

Coming to the point , am quite sure Krishna very well knew that this world is bad for us, and he cud have made some way out to show me _(or us) in genaral that the world i am goingto enter is nothing but just a junk of miseries .For the lord nothing is diffiult , just like the way he put us under his Maya !!!!!

Well I am not revolting against anything! me sure the Lord is right inside and takes care always, infact he is the most closed one as he remains always in my heart. But whenvere any misery comes , the very question pops up is what on earth did make me to think anything is better than the Lord the Supreme self................

I dont know whether the question is stupid , but its indeed ponderable , Just think, had krishna stopped me(us_) - by showing that living indepenent of him is nothing but a foolishness, rather than rolling over one body to another, finding difficult to come out of Maya..............

is showing us every minute that this world is NOT our home. When we experience bodily pain, that's Krishna's message to us that physically, there is no happiness in this world. When we fail in our endeavors, it means Krishna is again communing with us, telling us that there is nothing but mental anguish, frustration, failures and dejection in this world.

As you can see, at every point, Krishna is speaking to us, telling us what is right and what isn't. But we choose to ignore his message, because maya is too tempting to resist. That's why we fall.

You ask why we choose this world when we know it's full of pain. A smoker knows smoking is dangerous to his health, even while smoking, I've seen old people cough violently and suffer, but they don't drop the cigarette and continue smoking and coughing and suffering. IT is the same situation with us. We are so accustomed to pain it has become normal. We are reluctant to drop the cigarette.

Nice indeed, thanks for your explanation!

Thats right, sarva karana karanaam, the krishna is the cause of all causes , brahma confirms in the brahma samhitha , but then why maya? why did he create maya to disurb incase he wants to take us out ? guess the question boils down to the same , why there is both good and bad , why cant be only good, why cant be only truth? and why cant be only eternity ?

True. but let us discuss this logically , as i started to question. If incaase the smokeer before he becomes one is showed in the 'right manner' that the smoking is very bad to health then there is no room for this person to become a smoker, similarly had my sweet lord shown me or us before coming to this world that this world is bad in some way (that must not have been a difficult taks for the Lord i imagine) then there was no question of us attaching to the pain or in your words to become a smoker of the material cigerattes.......
