Which deity does one pray to when they want to be rid of constant nervousness and embarrarssment? Is there a particular deity? I know many of you will say Lord Krishna but i'm looking for a specific deity eg

Obstacles = Lord Ganesh

Learning = Saraswati mata

etc etc

Thank you

i go with subramanya. to me, he represents the facet of the human mind. i believe his six faces (shanmukham) represents the six ills of our personality that have to be curtailed (sex, anger, jealousy, pride, ego, greed).

his consorts, valli and devasena, represents icha sakti and kriya sakti. icha sakti is desire and kriya sakti is action. so valli is desire and devasena is action. in this way, his two consorts hold the equilibrium between one's desires and the actions one does.

Murugan is the way to a perfect intellectual and mental state. Pray to him that you are able to see past the nervousness and embarrasment and are happy with who you are and at peace mentally.

Im not saying this is what all Hindus do, just what I believe is right.

Well I think it's Lord Ganesh you're looking for. Ganesh is the remover of obstacles. Constant nervousness and embarrassment are obstacles than need to be removed.

Or just pray directly to God in whichever form you choose or as the formless. In the end all your prayers reach God.
