Guest guest
Hi, Generally caste like this are present in Tamilnadu. I tell you from my experience, these people are very brave and helpful. But I dont know why, when it comes to other animals and creatures they are very cruel only. Also with young boys and all they expect a manhood and somewhat brave behaviour. I was in village during my teens and I have seen these people drowning the cage in water where rats and squirrels are caught. In our house we had a servant who is of this Muthuraja caste. And that time I would comment on this cruely but he would say 'you at this age must not be moved away by mercy.the animals deserve dying in our brave hands' But on human society point of view, these people are very nice and helpful. Krishna only knows the truth!!!!!!!

Guest guest
Mutharayars are well cultured and civilized community. Some historical evidence shows that mutharayars had close matrimonial relation with cholas and pandyas.Pandyas of medival times were having the epithets varman it was coming from both mutharayars and pallavas. The Mutharayars only first formed the forts in thanjavur and vallam. From this only cholas changed their capital to thanjai.Mutharayars have been portraited in sangam tamil text NALADIYAR .This may be the only caste which has been portraited in sangam texts.Mutharayars have subsects > Ambalakkarar, servai, servaikkarar, vwttaikkarar, muthuraja etc.
