Yeshua/Eshvara

is there any connection linguistically between these two words. both are connotions used in india for god. Hindus (and i guess christians can too but i dont know) call god Eshvara and Christians call Jesus Yeshua. is it possible that one word sprung up from the other? if so, which way did it go? is there any mention of the word eshvara in any text prior to say 100 AD?
