Guest guest
Are there mantras for fame and fortune? Or is it a sin to aspire for those things? Doesn;t vedas contain mantras for specific purposes like rain etc. to satisfy material desires so that the mind could then be focused on spiritualism?? Guest guest
1) There are mantras for the fulfilment of any desire in the vedas. 2) Any desire to enjoy separately from God is a sin, punishable by the laws of karma. 3) Mantras for rain are there to satisfy basic living standards. Mantras for fame and fortune are less necessary for living. A mantra can be used to get rain in order that one's basic needs are met, not to satisfy some selfish material desire... the desire for fame and fortune can be fulfilled automatically by one becoming a devotee of God - people like Arjuna, Narada Muni, Prabhupada are all famous for that reason... The point is if you start to practice devotional service (chanting the names of God) then even if you have mundane desires for fame and fortune, the power of the devotional service will gradually transform your desires to self-realisation... Guest guest
There is a really good site called www.vaaaksounds.com if you go to newsletters and click sacred sounds part 1 it explains the dynamics of mantras on the material realm. There is a great mantra called Mantra for manifestation that really help with the cash flow. I have a book with other mantras called Hymns of the Atharva Veda if you need the one to make rain and secure prosperity even thru gambling. Guest guest
Why would you want fame and fortune? if you're serious you should just want to be with God. I don't see the point of asking for such a useless material thing when you could be meditating on God. I guess if you want to spread His message and are serious about that maybe it's a bit of a different story.
Guest guest
If shreem is the mantra for prosperity or aim the mantra for knowledge, what;s that mean? should one repeat it or what? Should a guru be present? How can mere repetiotion render results?
Guest guest
I do not know about the fame but I I do not believe that God would want me to be poor. I feel that he wants me to be able to take care of myself and the needs of the physical body rather than being dependent on the state or on others. I believe I should have the capacity to give more than I consume and money does help with that. If you think about it the famous who have done so have served God and mancon a higher more efficient level than the saints who remained silent and kept their discoveries to themselves. It is very Kaliyuga to think that god wants us to be poor-to run around in robes and neglect the physical body. Satya Yuga is a period of peace enlightenment and prosperity. When I see a question as the one posed by the ist in this thread I see a thinking person one ahead of his time ready to be done with Kaliyuga. It is a very authentic question. What parent if his child asks for a chocolate bar gives him a snake? Have you never prayed for some money to take care of a physical need? Why should you not evoke the divine with these sacred chants?
Guest guest
Go to the www.vaaaksounds.com web site. Click on newsletters and then go to Into to Sacred Sounds part 1 2 & 3. The mind is a bunch of sounds is what the great sage who wrote it says. If you need to change the material realm or the consciousness change the sounds. He is a master of combining prosperity and enlightenment using sounds and is also the guru to many great beings such as Dr Wayne Dyer.
