Thus have you been told by me the history of Ganga and the birth of Kumara, anecdotes which are great and holy (32). O! Rama! Whoever hears this story of the birth of Kartikeya will be released from all sins and will revel in the beginningless bliss (33). O! Scion of the Kakutstha clan! Guest guest
Its a Beautiful post you have posted. Kartikeya is symbol of "destroyer of negative powers" & "symbol of victory". Thereby he is personified as Army General of devas. So a human who wants to have victory & have his negative powers within him vaniquished should worship kartikeya. The story of kartikeya symbolises this tatparya. so Vashishta as a guru teaches it to his sincere disciple Rama. Here it should not be taken that kartikeya greater than Rama & here we shouldnt forget that Lord Rama is acting as a normal human rather than a Supreme God. as ultimate goal for a jiva to have his neagative powers destryoed (by worshipping Skanda) is to feel divine bliss of Lord Hari residing within him. Note : Kartikeya is devotee of Lord Narashima. In Gita, Lord krishna tells that Among army Generals i am Kartikeya. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Jai Shri Krishna /images/graemlins/smile.gif Om Shri Dhuupa Theerthaya Namaha /images/graemlins/smile.gif Om Shri Guru Raghavendraya Namaha /images/graemlins/smile.gif Om Namo Venkatesaya Namaha
