want tattoo but don't know the meaning

I have been searching the perfect tattoo that I have found appealing to look at. Well after about a year of hard thinking and eliminating one tattoo ater another I have finally found the one I want but don't know the meaning of it. I know that it has something to do with sanskrit. Maybe something Hindu, or maybe something called Metta. I don't know but I see it all over at these places. It has a three on the left side and some other design on the right. Please help

Sounds like you are talking about the om symbol. Is it the same as the first bit of sanskrit above the Hindu-Religion.net writing on this web page?
