But Lord Krsna ordered the people not to perform this ritualistic sacrifice. In punishment, Indra showered down torrential rains. To protect the villagers, Lord Krsna lifted Govardhana Hill as a type of umbrella. The lesson to be learned is that we should worship the Supreme Lord, the cause of all causes.
