Guest guest
Could someone explain the real meaning of these verses: 1. " shudhama poapvidham ". I used online "Cologne Digital Sanskrit Lexicon" dictionary. The nearest match for "shudhama" was "sudhAma" whose meaning was "see next". and there was no match for "poapvidham". This is a phrase highly popular among islamic websites who, in the name of comparitive religion try to deride hindu scriptures. Apparently, the meaning that is flashed among these websites is "He is bodyless and pure". And if you type the phrase "shudhama poapvidham" (including the quotes) in google, you find only islamic sites which say this verse is from Yajurveda 32:3. Is there an online version of Yajurveda (similar to asitis.com for SBG) that has the verses and their meanings? 2. " Andhatama pravishanti ye asambhuti mupaste " Those websites carry the meaning to this verse as follows: <<< "They enter darkness, those who worship the natural elements" (Air, Water, Fire, etc.). "They sink deeper in darkness, those who worship sambhuti." [Yajurveda 40:9] Sambhuti means created things, for example table, chair, idol, etc. >>> TIA, -Prasad.
