Can anyone tell me the Ekadasi dates for the UK for January please ?

I usually look at a calendar on the Iskcon.org.uk website but this has not been updated yet.

Also, can anyone tell me what caranamrita is?

My humble obeisances

Mark

In Hari-bhakti-vilasa (9.42-44), this appears from a conversation between Pulastya Muni and Bhagiratha Maharaja, in Padma Purana:

"One who drinks caranamrita (water emanated from washing the body

of the Lord) he becomes free from all kinds of diseases, and all kinds of

obstacles and the fear of ferocious cobras and ferocious beasts. He does not

have the eyes of bad planets upon him. He becomes free from the fear of theft.

What is the need for him to go to the places of pilgrimage, seeing the

demigods and great sages (if he has taken the water which has washed the body

of the Supreme Lord)? If he has the water which has washed the Salagram Sila

above his head, the sun, Kesava, Lord Brahma, Sankara (Lord Siva) become

greatly happy with him."

Many thanks for the dates.

One more little question please -

I have read that Sril Prabhupada said that the foods that may be eaten on Ekadasi are 'Fruit, Roots, Nuts and Milk' - does milk include milk products such as yogurt and cheese?

humble obeisances,

Mark

Kalai,

best way is to download the Vaishnava Calendar linked above. In that you enter your exact location (longitude, latitude) and it gives you specific dates for your location.
