Hare Krsna and Aloha to all the devotees of Lord Jagannatha! On Saturday, August 3, HariNam Prabhu's Deities of Lord Jagannatha, Lord Balarama, and Lady Subhadra will be benedicting the pious Hawaiian town of Hilo in Their cart, and YOU are invited!

Last year ParvatMuni Prabhu, ( Honokaa Temple of the Golden Volcano), constructed a 12' long by 13' high Rath cart, designed by VidughdaMadhava Prabhu. It is a miniture duplicate of the ones in Jagannatha Puri.

Sevanandi Prabhu in Maui sewed the canopy cloth on her industrial sewing machine. The kind donation of Nrihari and Bhavatarini Prabhu's paid for everything but wheels and axles (we had the 'cart' on a boat trailer.) Devotees came from Maui, Kauai and Oahu, and despite a real test of whether Lord Jagannatha wanted to take part in the parade, everything came together at the last minute for a wonderful kirtana (Mahalo's to Radhanatha and Vasudeva Prabhu's) and gathering afterwards where we distributed prasadam (Mahalo to Stritama, Khandita, RadhanaRupini and Araudra Prabhus).

This year we will be putting on wagon wheels, so it will be a faithful replica of the Puri carts and YOU are invited to pull along the Lord as He benedicts the Hilo atmosphere with His broad smile and Lotus Eyes!

Please e-mail me at jprem@royalstate.com if you are interested to attend.

We will do our best to help with accommodations. Hoping that this finds you well and in a preaching mood, I remain,

Your Servant

Jagaddhatri dd

PS. The Big Island devotees of Lord Chaitanya and Lord Jagannatha are becoming absorbed in Jagannatha's incredible kindness to allow us to be part of His pastimes.

We make no distinction of camp or politics - we have Srila(s) Prabhupada, Shridhar, Puri, Govinda, Narayana, SiddhaSwarupa, Tripurari, Nrsrnga, Paramadvaita, ISKCON Maharaja's etc. all chanting and dancing together under the banner of Sri Chaitanya's Samkirtana. Come join the party!
