Guest guest Report post Posted May 13, 2010 Dear All: While driving in to work I felt like I was overflowing with love. So, I swung by the hospital and signed up for a volunteer orientation to become a baby hugger. I cannot think of a better to be spending my lunch hour. cooing. Guest guest Report post Posted May 13, 2010 Dear Danielle, I have been thinking about this as well. A client of mine has been rocking/holding babies as a volunteer for about a month and loves the nonverbal connection she gets. She says she feels she is getting far more than she gives (don't know how you measure that). I just finished this remarkable book called Adam by Henri Nouwen. Its his last book and he spends a year plus taking care of this young man who has severe disabilities including not being able to talk and about the profound experience he had with him.
