Tailbone Pain

Hi all,

Since I've started practicing the 5 Tibetans & Safeties my tailbone has begun

to ache when I

lie down to go to sleep. I had felt this before but only every now and then. Now

it's clockwork

- at 20:00 my toes swell up (initially the right foot toes and now both feet),

then a few hours

later, I get into bed and my toe pain subsides and my tailbone begins to throb.

Is this

normal? Has anyone else experienced it? Is is indicative of a blockage or

something? Is there

something I can do to " control " the throbbing? I also suddenly feel fear when

I'm falling

asleep - I think it has something to do with the tailbone, but it's not rational

to fear it, the

pain isn't extraordinary - it's just a dull ache that decreases if I lie on my

side. Any thoughts

much appreciated.

Best Wishes,

Karina

Nothing is wrong Karina this is the Kundalini getting ready for an

increased expression. You can often feel this in the tailbone. Please

do your emotional work! Please do every aspect of the safeties. Do

not feel that anything can be skipped becuase you may have felt that

you already do these or that you do not feel drawn to them for any

reason. They are a platform towards a balanced Kundalini expression.

I am not suggresting that you are not practicing the full format

Karina merely suggesting to " eveyone who reads this " that it isnt

wise to pick and choose what safeties are needed by virtue of desire.

They are all needed especially the emotional ones.

Fear is an emotion. It needs to be stabilized by inner joy and trust

in the process. Trust in God. Trust in the Kundalini Shakti. Trust in

yourself.

So yes reads like everything is going well for you Karina! The

tailbone throb is a very clear sign of your progress and it isnt

anything other than the Kundalini unless you have injured it lately.

From this point onward barring injury please see the tailnbone

phenomena as the beginning of a whole list of phenomena that may

begin occurring with you soon.

Having is different than wanting or reading - lol!

Insect chirpings like a million crickets but not seeing any sign of

them or the sound of bees buzzing etc. Stay happy and hydrated. You

are progressing well! Remember the locks and how many Tibetan

repetitions are you up to? - blessings to you Karina! - chrism

Thanks Chrism, (is it Chris or Chrism?)

Yes, you are right, BIG difference between reading and experiencing. And you are

right I

haven't really been doing the full format of the safeties. I have been doing the

emotional

work, but I'm finding it difficult because in terms of forgiveness I have never

done any real

harm to anyone, nor do I normally hold grudges. There are little things here and

there over

my 23 years but nothing glaring. Also how does one practice forgiveness? Is it

enough just

to forgive people, or do I need to tell them that I forgive them (the latter

could be

awkward as many of them have probably completely forgotten about the situation,

or were

unaware that there was a situation to begin with...)

Also I don't have a religion and as such I feel no real connection to any

deity, I was

baptised Catholic, but like most good Irish Catholics I don't practice,

particularly because I

disagree with so much of what the Church teaches. So I find it difficult to pray

(not

knowing " who " to pray to).

Inner Joy is difficult too, I've never been depressed, but very few times have I

been

exuberant with joy either, so am having difficulty cultivating that emotion. I'm

a happy

person a little moody sometimes, but usually in a good mood.

Love is the one I've had least difficulty with. It's easy to love.

I've been doing 21 of each of the tibetans every morning before I have

breakfast. Is that

too much? I know there were exercises to ease into them but I don't find them

too difficult,

on the 2nd tibetan my lower abdominals are aching by number 10, but not

excessively so.

The rest of them are grand. I do alternate nostril breathing for about 2 mins

after and then

I try and meditate, but my mind is unruly and it wanders so I usually give up

after about 5

minutes.

" Trust in the process " - I find that hard as well... the process is so far

removed from what

I'm used to... trust is a toughy - any pointers as to how to overcome a lack of

trust?

Anyway, thanks again for the response chrism - you are so good to listen to the

ramblings

of so many people.

Best,

Karina

I just read the Practice section of the website properly. I was doing too many

Tibetans -

will start again properly tomorrow morning with only 5 repetitions...I need to

learn to

concentrate. :(

Hello Karina:

You were correct in doing 21 repetitions of the tibetans. Starting

out with a few is for those like me who were having trouble doing them

- I worked my way up from 6 each to the 21 each - so good for you that

you can handle all five 21 times per session. One session per day or

if you can two is better -

You asked about trusting- try saying the words to yourself or out loud

- I find that it helps me to say " I trust what is happening "

" I surrender " it takes some time and that is fine - it is a change for

many of us to get into a practice - I am still working on doing the

whole practice- but saying the words does help.

I too was raised catholic and had a hard time praying - i say the my

father/mother - and the shakti prayer which I really like - and I also

call for jesus. mary and joseph to help me that dates back to my

school days where we put JMJ on all papers - it feels comfortable for me.

I think the thing that helped me the most was reading chrism's

articles on the main site. There is much info there and answers to

many questions as well as this site where you can check out old posts.

I read articles over and over finding new meaning as I am in the

process so am in a learning curve - what I figured out yesterday may

take on new meaning today - thus is K.

Welcome and ask whatever you need to - we are all learning...
