On my way home from my bf's, I drove on Lake Shore Drive as usual. I noticed something different about my surroundings. I used to hate or dislike driving during the night because I have such a bad eye sight or blurry night vision whether I am wearing my eye glasses or contact lenses. I have a hard time seeing the street signs clearly and everything else. I noticed this evening that my surroundings were crystal clear. As if I had just gotten a new pair of lenses or I have a new pair of eyes. It made me realize that Chicago truly is a beautiful city. I never thought of that before (I've lived here for 24 years). She is actually from Brazil and was studying English there. We had some good times at the Navy Pier, walking and enjoying the famous Chicago wind.... very nice. ;-) Also, very nice on your improved eyesite... Lately, I have been really noticing the trees, my surroundings (architecture), etc. things I didn't really pay much attention to before. I know I've lived here for so many years. It didn't used to be a big deal to me, because I grew up here and always see my surroundings. I never really took real notice of how beautiful Chicago really is. I've been driving the same route to work for almost 12 years, there's nothing new under the sun. And yet, everything looked new and beautiful. Guest guest Posted May 16, 2007 Report Share Posted May 16, 2007 Great Sarita My eye sight hasn't gotten any better, but my hearing has improved, I don't get cold no matter how cold it gets out side, or inside. I still have a problem with the heat in summer. I've noticed that anything is possible and maybe my eye sight will get better, or not. I am very grateful for my life and all the blessing I have.
