THE ESSENCE OF RIBHU GITAThe following verses constitute the teachings of Siva to Ribhu, who in turn transmits those teachings to his disciple Nidhaga Rishi. The treatise goes by the name Ribhu Gita.Greatness of Videha Mukta13. The continued repetition of `I am Self-Brahman'constitutes the sole mantra-japa leading to Mukti (Liberation). All other mantra-japas connected with diverse gods should befirmly eschewed, as they aim at mundane objectives other thanthe Self. All other mantra-japas always entangle one inextricablyin the bondage of worldly enjoyments. (Ch.6, v.37)
