Almond Biscuits vegan repost of Christie's recipe Christmas cookies

I made these and they would be great for Christmas cookies. Go look in the

cookie folder. There are vegan cookie recipes in there. Liz Almond Biscuits


50g (2 oz) vegan margarine

25g (1 oz) demerara sugar

75g (3 oz) ground almonds

1/2 tsp almond essence

50g (2oz) plain flour, sifted

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 Tbsp non-dairy milk


Pre-heat oven to Gas Mark 4/1880C/350F. Cream margarine and sugar,

mix in ground almond and almond essence then sifted flour, baking

powder and non-dairy milk. Mix well together. Take heaped

teaspoonfuls of the mixture, roll into balls between the palms of the

hands. Flatten into biscuit shapes and place on a greased baking

sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Cool for about 5

minutes on the baking sheet before placing on a wire rack to cool.


Makes about 16 small biscuits


Only make when you have company!
