If you haven't already, join your local freecycle! (lots of them are on

, so it's easy) I have gotten rid of a lot of odds and ends and

some nice clothes -- and today, I got a beautiful entertainment center! The

lady giving it away was happy to have her garage back so she could park in

it and thrilled that someone wanted it. I'm so happy! :)

I got a piano on Freecycle.

We have 5000 members here.

I have met so many really nice people on freecycle.

I did have one really bad experience with it in Bartlesville, OK. This lady was

so mad that I had given the items away to someone else. But otherwise, it is a

good program. As long as people respect each other, all is good. Karen

We got a piano on freecycle too! It is a parlor grand piano, and it sounds

amazing. I was looking for a crock pot and never found one, but found a piano

instead! It is OK, I no longer want a crock. Later found out the my rice

cooker can be programmed to behave as a crock pot if I push a different

combination of the incomprehensible Chinese characters. Less gadgets is good.

Gadgets that do more than one thing are very good.

I had one lady tell me that her husband couldn't get onto my gated patio.

There was no lock on it. Hmmm... I guess her husband didn't know how to

reach over and unlatch a gate! :) Now I tell people that when they come to

pick things up.
