I need to restart my whole vegetarian diet! I want to totally restock my pantry

and fridge. I like to cook but not the overly fancy stuff that takes 12 hours

to make and 5 minutes to eat!

If you were totally starting with a bare kitchen what would you stock it with

(food and ingredients wise I mean. I have plenty of cooking utensiles, etc.)

Thanks!

I would have a rice cooker and a electric pressure cooker.  In my pantry I

would have plenty of veggie stock for soups, stew, and cooking liquid, veggie

bullion,  varieties of beans, varieties of rice, all kinds of spices (add one

exotic spice a week/month as your budget/taste will allow and cook with it),

cereals, flour, updated storage ware (I love lock & lock from QVC, they have

great packages for storing my flour to keep weavels my exroomate brought in that

I've had a time getting rid of), pudding, pasta, dehydrated soup starters for

quick meals, meso, corn meal, all baking supplies (I bake and not vegan and use

eggs).  Your idea is a great one for doing over the holidays as you use up your

pantry during this busy time of cooking.  Don't buy new supplies, use up what

you have, so think creatively and clear out!!!  Then start fresh!!!  Don't

spring clean when you can holiday clean!!

I am pretty certain I have shared my pantry list and

that Donna put it in the files here. It is a good list to

print out and take to the market with you.

You can add your own favorite foods to the list, etc.

It is called PT's Pantry List....
