Deanna, I have never seen these. I will have to check at the middle eastern

market, they have barrels of dried beans, rice and grains.

I as in Whole Foods today and I asked, no one has ever seen them.

Donna,

I bought mine at a farm out in the countryside. They have every type of beans ,

rice , etc. that you can think of. I saw beans that I've never tried like Fava

and others but decided to try the whole dried peas. They were bulk and

inexpensive. I'm looking for a recipe that I heard of where the peas are cooked

mashed, sugar added and made into patties. Have you ever heard of it or made

them? I think they also might have ginger as an ingredient.

You can find them at various places online. Try Honeyville Grain at

Here's their description:

>Honeyville's Freeze Dried Peas are produced when moisture is removed from fresh

garden peas using a very low temperature and a vacuum. Only about 3% moisture

remains in the freeze dried peas at the time of packaging. The end product

weight is reduced by over 90%, while the volume stays the same. This remarkable

process concentrates the fresh taste, natural color, and texture of fresh peas

in it's freeze dried state. When re-hydrated with water, freeze dried peas will

maintain the texture and shape of fresh peas, with no shrinking or shriveling.
