what is a vegetable stock ?

can someone please tell me what a vegetable stock is ? can it be made at home ?

Vegetable stock is basically the water (stock) that's left over when you

cook vegetables. You could use basically any root vegetable and greens to

make it. You could boil some cabbage, carrots, celery and onion with some

salt, pepper and other seasonings and just save the water after you're done

cooking your veggies. I'm sure someone else has some other ideas.
