Guest guest Report post Posted May 19, 2010 Hi TM, Great to hear that they came already and that you enjoyed the Worthington/Loma Linda Big Franks so much. Wrap crescent dough around them and bake them to make Dogs in a Blanket. I love to bake them on a cookie sheet pan, that I spray with Pam and spray the hot dogs to get them nice and crispy. Sometimes I boil them in their own broth, covered in a pot on the stove. They plump up so nice this way. Go check out our Substitutes for Meat and then the subfolder " hot dogs " , for some more good recipes. Slice them up in some Bush Vegetarian Baked beans for another treat. For the Vegeburger, just brown in a little oil and use in spagetti sauce, in chili, sloppy joes, on pizza, etc. Check out the " not cow " recipe subfolder for lots of good ideas. I'll repost my homemade Delicious Vegeburgers recipe, in just a moment. %2ARecipes/Substitutes%20fo\ r%20meat%20%2C%20fish%20%26%20dairy...all%20non-meat%20patties%20/ Enjoy your new treats. Guest guest Report post Posted May 19, 2010 > > I have a few questions. Can the franks be frozen and if so do they retain the same texture? Also can the Vegetarian Burger be used to make meat balls? > > Yes, I open a can, eat one or two, and put the rest in the freezer. They thaw/heat fine in the microwave too, and grill well. Guest guest Report post Posted May 20, 2010 I had the same issue - I grew up on some truly disgusting (ingredient-wise), salty hot dogs that I missed terribly, until I found the Big Franks. I LOVE them! I do freeze the rest of the can (I only eat 2 at a time) and it works fine. I also freeze the skallops. Audrey
Guest guest Report post Posted May 20, 2010 Since I never ate hot dogs all the alternative ones taste good to me. I love all the trimmings I put on them Donna Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
