I want to eat a good subway sandwich once in awhile, but don't like

the taste of their vegi patti. Has anyone out there found a good combination of

their condiments and vegi's that is really good on them?...> Jane

I always get the veggie de'lite with sweet onion sauce toasted and it is great.

There is no veggie patty on it. It's just loaded with all the veggies.

Vegenaise, mustard, onions, spinach leaves, avocado, cucumber, tomato, raddish,

olives, pickles, sweet pepper slices, cucumber, cilantro, and mushrooms and I

wrap the sandwich so everything stays inside

That sounds good! Would mustard/mayo/sweet onion sauce throw it off or help?..>

Lettuce, tomato, spinach, onions, banana peppers, oil, vinegar. Cheese if

you eat it. Mushrooms if they have them.

Mmm....onion sauce! You could always ask for it in a little container and

try it on one end before pouring it over the whole thing. If you don't like

it, you've only lost one bite that way. :^)

Oh, it is good. I could eat them daily... lol As for Mayo or Mustard, I myself

haven't really ever thought to add them. It's kinda like a big salad on a sub,

so I love the sweet onion sauce and sometimes Parmesan cheese. I guess you

could add them, however if you don't like them on salad then I would forgo them

on this.

I'm starting to think that maybe it's the vinergar that makes the patti more

palateable. Everyone has such wonderful combinations and sounds so good.

However; most has vinergar. I will try each of these suggestions and see which

works for me. I never have put the vinergar on before. Thanks to all of you, I

may have a new love for Subway. Thanks guys! Keep it coming if you'd like. I'm

taking it all in....> Jane

Jane,

I haven't gone to Subway in some time but I would make my own. I love avacado

and tomato subs. I mash the avacado add a little garlic powder some lemon juice

and a pinch of salt and pile on the tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, cheese and

spread the mashed avacado (this is also the same as my guacamole) toss on some

black olives and yummy it's good.

If you have a sandwich shop called Which Wich it's great for the vegetarian.

They have several options available to have. Their bean patty is extremely spicy

though.

Take care

here.

Most of them do have a vegi patti, but there are some locations that don't. We

have several locations in my area and there are 2 of these that don't have the

patti. The others do...> Jane D

They don't even list it in the online menu. Strange. I had not been to

Subway in MONTHS until last Friday with my stepdaughter & the menu is so

convoluted it was hard to tell what they even had, much less if there was

something different. LOL So I just say veggi & then what I want.

I went to Subway today and mine didn't have hardly anything on the menu board. I

had to ask if they even had a vegetarian sub! Boy they sure did have the meat

subs lined up though. I did add italian dressing when I got home so it wasn't

bad.

Take care

Wow, they used to have it on the board. Are the members of this group all local,

or are they from all over. Just wondering if that was a local Subway or are you

elsewhere?..> Jane D

I'm in Florida in the US & haven't seen it anywhere in Kentucky, Tennessee,

Georgia or Florida.

I've seen just a few locations that carry the veggie patty in Kansas City.

Of all places, one location in Independence, Missouri carries it!
