Guest guest
Taurine may have first been isolated from ox BILE, and hence it's name, from taurus, Latin for bull. However, it is not derived from their privates: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taurine Certainly, most of the taurine found in supplements and added to food these days is likely synthesized. Note, they also mention it exists also in " plants, fungi, and some bacterial species, but in far less abundance. " The Wikipedia entry for Red Bull makes no mention of the urban myth, but does contain a lot of interesting history, safety information, etc.: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull -Erin www.zenpawn.com/vegblog
