I agree, let's find a better recipe(s) or ingredient to discuss.

I'm going to try an apricot bread recipe tomorrow. I've been waiting for the

weather to

cool down so I can bake and I have a feeling if I get it done early in the

morning then the

house won't heat up.

-Donna,

I am hoping that these posts about gravy, fries,Twinkies , etc. are

jokes. And I hope the young people who are reading them realize that

serious Vegetarians and Vegans do not encourage others to eat these

things even in jest.

That apricot bread sounds delicious! I've also been wondering how mango

bread would taste. :-)

My 13-year-old has been begging me to make the strawberry bread again (I

posted the recipe recently). She just loves it toasted with whipped

cream cheese - she declared it " heaven! " So tomorrow (I mean later

today) I plan to make:

Strawberry bread, whole wheat bread (using the Breadbecker's recipe that

Judy posted), curried vegetable soup (a Lorna Sass pressure cooker

recipe), egg salad (another special request), and smoothies (using my

homemade yogurt).

Seems like I'm missing something but my list is upstairs. Thank

goodness the weekend is 2 days long, cause I may need it. :-)

I'm also waiting for a couple cookbooks I ordered as well as those

spices. On my cookbook want list is the Native Foods Restaurant

Cookbook that Donna recommends. Only a week or so ago their restaurant

website had some free recipes from the cookbook but when I just went to

look for them (to post the link) I see they've taken them down. :-( A

cached version is still available through google,

but it may not work with all browsers:

http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:pt_t0EBLgBEJ:www.nativefoods.com/recipes/reci\

pes_mad-cowboy.html+%22native+foods+restaurant%22+recipes & hl=en & gl=us & ct=clnk & cd\

=21 & client=firefox-a

(You can google " Native Foods Restaurant " recipes (with the first 3

words in quotes) go to the 3rd page of results - the top link should be

www.nativefoods.com/recipes, and, instead of clicking the main link,

click the " cached " link.) There are only two recipes on the page, and

one is the ranch dressing.

Happy cooking,

Sharon
