Guest guest
To my understanding, there are *two* different types of " black beans " . There are the black (sometimes called " turtle " ) beans that can come in a can or dry in a bag. These are used in many mexican recipes. AND there are the black beans that are fermented black soy beans, that come in a jar or can. These are used in asian recipes (black bean sauce). I myself have had trouble finding the asian ones locally.
