Guest guest
I recently bought 25 lbs. of no-spray bulk almonds at $4 a pound. I was so happy to find such a good deal until I opened the box the next day and found worms and worm larva throughout the box of almonds. Is this a common thing? Are they okay to use after removing the larva and worms? I mostly use almonds for almond milk. So they get soaked and rinsed before use. If I miss a worm or larva in the cleaning process would I get sick? I tried to shake them out and got some out but it would take me forever to get all of them out. So I am freezing all the almonds, will that kill the worms and larva? I am pretty upset about this. Now I am finding worms that I dropped in the cleaning process. I am worried that now the worms will get into other food. This sucks!!! I'm going to call the company and complain, but I wanted to know it this is a common thing when buying bulk or completely unacceptable?!?! PLEASE HELP ME to know! Thanks.
