Olive Tapenade (Spread: see Notes)

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2/3 cup medium-size pitted ripe olives

2 tablespoons pine nuts

2 tablespoons water

2 teaspoons capers

2 garlic cloves -- (2 to 3)

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil -- (1 to 2)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

 

Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Makes 1 cup.
