Breakfast Rice with Fruit

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

3/4 cup cooked brown rice

1 banana -- peeled and chopped

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1 dash nutmeg

 

Servings: 1, Preparation Time: 5 minutes, Cooking Time: 1 minute in

microwave, 5 minutes on stove (cooked rice needed.)

 

Warm the rice in a microwave about 1 minute on high, or place in a small

saucepan with a small amount of water and warm on the stovetop for about 5

minutes, stirring frequently. Place the banana in the blender with the

applesauce and process until smooth. Spoon over the warmed rice. Sprinkle

nutmeg on top for extra flavor, if desired.
