Guest guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Share Posted May 9, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Hot And Sour Dressing Recipe By : Stress, Diet & Your Heart, by Dean Ornish, page 198 Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Salads, Dressings Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 tablespoons sesame tahini 4 tablespoons cider or white wine vinegar 1 teaspoon hot red pepper powder OR flaked red pepper 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon mild-flavored honey 1 tablespoon finely minced or grated fresh ginger 1 clove finely minced garlic -- up to 2 1 tablespoon finely minced scallions 1 tablespoon safflower oil 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander -- (optional) (cilantro) 1/2 cup water freshly ground pepper -- to taste Makes 1 1/2 cups In a blender or food processor, blend all the ingredients together until smooth.
