Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

-------- ------------ --------------------------------

4 cups rolled oats -- quick or regular

1/2 cup sesame seeds

1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup walnuts

2/3 cup maple syrup

1. Preheat oven to 350F

2. Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl.

3. Spread in a thin layer on two large baking sheets, then bake until golden

brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Turn occasionally with a spatula during baking for even

browning.

4. Cool completely, then store in an airtight container.

TIP - Try sprinkling Crunchy Granola on freshly sliced fruit like berries,

peaches, or apricots for a quick and delicious treat.

TIP - Mix granola with other favorite cold cereals for added flavor and crunch.

TIP - While this recipe contains no added fat, nuts are naturally rich in oils,

so the granola is not low in fat. Nuts are a great source of many minerals, so

don't avoid them altogetherinstead use modest amounts if you are watching your

calorie intake.
