Guest guest
maybe you'd like to try spicy seitan for sandwiches etc. (I have not tried it yet) I will, meanwhile, here's my version. ---------- Recipe via Meal-Master v8.06 by AccuChef www.AccuChef.com Title: Speedy Seitan - Montreal Smoked Wheat Mix Categories: Exotic Yield: Servings 1/4 c Beet,Grated 2 T Tarragon 2 t Thyme 2 t Garlic 1 t Caraway Seed,Ground 1 t Celery Seed,Ground 1 t Paprika 1 t Black Pepper 1/4 t Cayenne 1 t Liquid Smoke this is a variation of the Speedy Seitan. make 2 batches of the above spices (everything x2 seperate), not the liquid smoke. put 1 batch in to the gluten mix when whisking from Speedy Seitan the other batch simmer in a crockpot on low, water to the half point of the pot or lower but not higher. the seitan must be cut to fit into the pot, BUT try to make it so the slabs can still (when cut) cover a 1/2 slice of bread simmer overnight in crockpot. refridgerate with remaining broth in a sealed container cut into thin slices, add in liquid smoke to broth back in to fridge for one more day (sealed container) ----- Health - your guide to health and wellness http://health.
