Guest guest Posted April 22, 2002 Report Share Posted April 22, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Chocolate Peanut Butter and Banana Cake Recipe By :Jill Snyder Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Cake: 1 package devil's food cake mix -- (18.25 oz) 3 eggs 1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas -- (3 or 4 large bananas) 1/2 cup vegetable oil Chocolate Peanut Butter Glaze: 4 squares semisweet chocolate -- (each 1 oz) 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter 1/3 cup chopped peanuts -- optional Cake: Preheat oven to 350F. In a large mixer bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, mashed bananas and oil. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes, or until smooth. Spread batter evenly in prepared (greaesd and floured 13 x 9-inch) pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Glaze: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and peanut butter, stirring constantly until smooth. Spread evenly over cooled cake. Sprinkle nuts on top, if desired.
