Guest guest Posted April 11, 2002 Report Share Posted April 11, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Strawberry Salsa Recipe By : California Home Cooking by Michele Anna Jordan Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Sauces Sda-Veg-Recipes2 (AT) Egroups (DOT) Com Vegan Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pint strawberries -- stemmed and diced 2 tablespoons sugar 1 to 2 serrano chiles, minced 1/2 red onion -- minced 3 tablespoons strawberry or red raspberry vinegar, -- preferably or 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar 2 tablespoons minced cilantro leaves Kosher salt Black pepper in a mill Place the strawberries and the sugar in a medium bowl, and toss lightly. Cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Remove the bowl from the refrigerator. Add the serrano, onion, vinegar, and cilantro, and toss together lightly. Season with salt and pepper. Let the salsa rest at room temperature for at least 20 minutes before serving.
