I often crave sweet custard desserts, and this one made with fresh strawberries is creamy without the cream. The apple-strawberry juice I favor is made by Knudsen. In food processor or blender, process arrowroot, juice, maple syrup, tahini and vanilla. Pour into medium saucepan and cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, 20 minutes or until thick. Line 4 ( 1/2-cup) custard cups with sliced strawberries, reserving any extra for garnish. Pour custard into cups and chill overnight to firm. Serve cold. From " Almond Essence, " by Janet Doane.
