Guest guest
I'm sorry, must be the weather - today's Spring and snow is due! * Exported from MasterCook * Crunchy Maple-baked Banana Recipe By :Andrea Chesman Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 orange 1/2 cup toasted wheat germ 4 bananas -- peeled and halved lengthwise 2 tablespoons maple syrup 1 tablespoon butter My son Rory and I dreamed this treat up one hungry afternoon, making it with ingredients we had on hand. I hope your pantry is equally well stocked. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Lightly butter an 8-inch square baking dish. Grate 1 teaspoon orange zest. Combine with the wheat germ in a shallow bowl. Juice the orange into a medium bowl. Toss the banana halves with orange juice, then roll them in the wheat germ until well coated. Place in the baking dish. Combine the maple syrup and butter in a small saucepan or microwavesafe container. Heat just until the butter is melted. Drizzle over the bananas. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.
