Here is a dessert we can make with passion fruit or other fruit purees. and with nonfat whipped topping or ..... * Exported from MasterCook * Passion Fruit Fool and Rosewater Biscuits Recipe By :Liz Pybus (Herts) Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 8 passion fruit 200 milliliters whipping cream 1 ounce pistachio nuts BISCUITS: 4 ounces all-purpose flour 1/2 ounce cornstarch 4 ounces lightly salted butter -- diced 2 ounces confectioner's sugar -- plus extra 4 teaspoons rosewater 1. Cut the tops off the passion fruit and spoon out the flesh into a sieve. Pass through the sieve to remove the seeds. Taste the puree and mix in the sugar as needed. Whip the cream until stiff and fold the passion fruit puree into it. Divide among dessert glasses and chill for about 2 hours. 2. For the biscuits: sift the flour and cornstarch into a food processor. Add the butter, blend until combined. Add the icing sugar and rosewater and briefly blend. Lightly knead then wrap and chill the dough for 30 minutes. 3. Preheat oven to 400F. Roll out the dough to about 1/8-inch thick and cut out about 12 rounds. Bake in the oven for 8 minutes until pale golden. Whizz the nuts in a food processor to roughly chop. Dust the biscuits with icing sugar and sprinkle the nuts on top of each fruit fool.
