Guest guest
These are really good. Original recipe was found somewhere on the web - did not write it down unfortunately so I can't give correct source information. I cut the amount of pesto sauce quite a bit as it sounded way too much for the amount of flour. These breadsticks had a subtle pesto flavor. If you wish a more pronounced flavor, add a bit more pesto sauce and up the other ingredients a touch too. Also, add a touch more salt. That helps punch up flavors too. * Exported from MasterCook * Pesto Breadsticks Recipe By : RisaG Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Abm Dough Cycle Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 egg 3/4 cup lukewarm water 1 clove garlic -- minced 3 tbsp garlic-infused olive oil -- OR 3 tbsp basil-infused olive oil 1/4 cup pesto sauce 1 tsp salt 3 cups bread flour 1 tbsp sugar 1 tsp SAF yeast Place all ingredients in bread pan according to manufacturer's directions. Dough cycle. When cycle is over, punch down the dough. Let it sit in the bread pan, in the machine, with cover down for another 1/2 hour. Remove dough to floured surface. Cut dough into 12 pieces. Roll each into a long cigar shape. Place on a greased baking sheet (or if you have a Silpat or something similar, use that). Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray tops of bread sticks with some olive oil-infused cooking spray. Bake for 25 minutes until brown on top and crisp on the bottom. Remove to wire rack to cool. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ===== RisaG MK Independent Beauty Consultant radiorlg Risa's Food Service http://www.geocities.com/radiorlg Updated 02/16/02 Sports - Coverage of the 2002 Olympic Games http://sports.
