Guest guest Posted February 24, 2002 Report Share Posted February 24, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Sesame Broccoli Salad Recipe By : The Cooking Cardiologist, by Richard Collins, page 151 Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Salads, Vegetable Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds 1 pound frozen chopped broccoli 2 tablespoons soy sauce -- low sodium 4 tablespoons rice vinegar 1 teaspoon sesame oil 2 teaspoons honey Serving Size: 4 To toast the sesame seed, place in a small sauté pan over medium to high heat, toast for 2-3 minutes stirring frequently. Remove from heat and set aside. Cook broccoli according to package directions. Drain in a colander, rinse under cold running water to stop the cooking and to cool. Transfer to a serving dish. Combine the soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil and honey. Pour over the broccoli and toss well. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve.
