Guest guest
Leah: A suggestion to help is to try some variation of what I am experimenting with. 1. Just drink water for the first 2-5 hours each day. No food! Note I am surprised at how much energy I have with an empty stomach! 2. Break the fast easy -- fresh green juice or stored in an airtight container or a green smoothie. 3. Wait 29 minutes after the juice to eat solid food but be prepared to be hungry...I am. I did this today - got up at 7 a.m. and worked at home and drove to work by 9 a.m. We did a very physical one hour training / workout, broke into groups and the workshop was over at 12:15 I got to my car and to my food and started eating at 12:45 I was fine all morning except for the last 30 minutes I started getting grouchy, either it was the lack of sugar or lack of quiet down time as I try to do that regularly. Hope this helps - I got the idea from Paul Nison, Fred Bisci and Matt Monarch. In my yoga or self-study practice I recently noticed when I get stressed out my first thought is food. If appropiate food is not available then my secod thought is to drink/ want water. If water is not available then I do or want to do an appropriate yoga posture for the stress. I could function much better if I can reverse this orderL first response to stress is breath / posture work then if necessary drink water or if still necessary eat. :>) Bill In a message dated 5/24/06 8:16:06 AM Pacific Daylight Time, rawfood writes: > In addition to any suggestions on how to make this less complicated, can > some one tell me how long juice is " good " after I juice it?
