Hello:

I am the proud and happy owner of a Champion juicer, but...

when I use the machine, I always get a lot of sludge on the

" face plate " out of which the shaft projects (the part that is

connected to the machine and is not removable.

It is unpleasant to have to clean it up (and not so easy - you can't

put it in a dishwasher or wash it in the sink). I can use a paper

towel, but that is so wasteful. I don't feel comfortable using a wet

sponge.

Is my Champion normal? Does this happen with all of them? If so, how

do you clean yours?

Thank you

Margaret

That's prefectly normal. I picked up a big bag of small white

terrycloth towels at home depot - I use them to clean up and then

rinse them out and throw them in the hamper.

Yes, that's normal, and a little annoying, isn't it? LOL! I just wipe it off

with a dish rag.

I just read the other day on the champion web site that you should not put

the parts in the dishwasher at all. It said something about since it is two

different materials that over time it will break down. It was in the FAQ

section at www.championjuicer.com. I don't know if you put yours in the

dishwasher or not, just thought I'd mention that because *I* have been!
