Guest guest
Margaret and Sheri-you guys made me laugh to hard I almost fell off my chair! It is so true how people will dis our diet, as they are mowing down some commercially prepared gob of chemical " food " . Recently, when I was visiting my mother, I was slicing up veggies and fruits, and was being teased about the fact that I didn't want to partake of their " feast " of pork, some gooey looking cheesy casserole, and pasta. Sick of hearing it, I picked up the packages of stuff that was being prepared and started reading off the ingredients-I noticed a hush came over the room. It took me about 5 minutes to read the ingredients on 4 packages of stuff! I then pointed out that these were made in factories where they encountered dozens of people who may not have washed their hands after scratching their asses or picking their nose........needless to say, my fruits and veggies were the first things to disappear off the table! No one in my family brings it up any more! It is soooooooo sad to think that most people think we are weird for the way WE eat! Thanks for injecting such humor into the post. Guest guest
Thanks for seeing the humor. I love your answer to your family. In nutrition school, I was taught to read the labels. The joke was that, if an ingredient was only letters, or if you couldn't pronounce it, you probably shouldn't eat it.
