Guest guest
Hey, I wanted to share a quick note about some thing good that happened at work! You need to know a couple of facts to appreciate the good news... The first week of January work sent me to a 5 day training class. I started my raw journey in mid Feb. This week work brought the entire central plains unit of the firm together for our annual meeting, the woman who taught the January class was there too. She stood next to me at the elevator bank and gave me a really funny look. After a minute she said, Leah? I said yes and we talked while we waited for the elevator. The next day I saw her again on my way to another session. She stopped me and said, Did you loose alot of weight? ;-) I said yes, 20 lbs since mid February. She said that was why she didn't recognize me at first by the elevators. She asked how I did it, and I told her (briefly) about raw vegetarian. I am really raw vegan, but I didn't think this was the time to explain raw, AND the difference between vegetarian and vegan..... I am so happy! I don't SEE the difference when I look in the mirror. I see the difference in the scales and in my clothes but not in how I look. People like my husband who see me every day can't really see it....but when I told my husband this story he said that he noticed it big time when he happened to see pictures from Christmas and then looked at me now. So, I took the whole thing as a complement! (By the way being out of town for the annual meeting is why I have been so quiet for this week.) I hope each of you has a wonderful week-end. Guest guest
Yea, Leah! It IS gratifying when people notice. A crisis evaluator had been called in to our ER. She and my nephew are on the same staff so we were talking about things we have in common. She had been looking at me sort of funny and I wondered if something was unbuttoned or unzipped when she said, " You've lost a _lot_ of weight! " I said yes and that was that. She is a Buddhist so she would know about vegetarian and/or vegan though I don't know about raw. I'm sure my nephew would fill her in on my latest weird sidetrip. That's what my family thinks about it. What they don't know is this is the main road and I plan to stay on it the rest of my life.
